On May 27th the lekker collective had their second showcase at Studio Chérie.
Blasko and Shay Lia blessed us with their muscial talents.
It was a wonderful sunday in Berlin and Tatjana and I spent the day in the flat cleaning and tidying up.
In the late afternoon we headed out to Kreuzberg to visit the second lekker showcase hosted by
super woman Donna.
Studio Cherie was drenched in beautiful afternoon summer sun and the crowd already sat down listening to
Blasko when we walked into the room. He performed beautifully and his smile spread across the room lighting up
all our faces when he told us that he had to perform in his jacket.
In front of us Agatha Powa took video on a MiniDV Camera throwing us back to the 90s.
She also exhibited some of her inspirational and honest analog photography with the theme of
musical artist portraits on the back wall.
We got us some refreshing home made drinks and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere in the intermission.
Shay Lia. A beautiful young artist from Djibouti who grew up in Canada came out and told us about
her stressfull travels and jet lag, which seemed to melt away quickly as soon as the first beat dropped.
It was a lovely afternoon filled with soulful music and smiles.
